Disney Dreamlight Valley presents players with a variety of story quests that unlock iconic characters and restore magic to the realm. One of the most important early-game storylines revolves around freeing Ursula the Sea Witch, who is trapped inside a secluded cave along Dazzle Beach. Completing this quest requires acquiring a special item known as Ursula's Crystal Key and using it to unlock the secrets of the Mystical Cave.
Where to Find Ursula and Obtain the Crystal Key
To begin the quest line titled With Great Power, players must first unlock Dazzle Beach and speak with Merlin. Merlin directs you toward the Cursed Cave located in the northeastern section of Dazzle Beach, which is surrounded by a dark purple fog.
Inside the Cursed Cave, you will find Ursula floating in a small pool of water. Interacting with her initiates a dialogue where she hands over the Crystal Key, which is essential for advancing the quest and discovering the lost Orb of Power.
Locating the Mystical Cave Entrance Device
Once you have the Crystal Key in your inventory, head toward the grassy western side of Dazzle Beach near the Pillar of Power. Tucked against the rock wall, you will spot a large sealed stone door alongside a stone pedestal.
Interact with the stone pillar device and place Ursula's Crystal Key onto the stand. Doing so breaks the magic seal on the entrance, allowing you to venture inside the Mystical Cave to tackle its puzzles.
Solving the Mystical Cave Puzzles
Inside the cave, your progress is blocked by three distinct Magic Gates that each require solving a specific riddle. The first riddle requires placing three gems onto colored statues: a Peridot for green, an Aquamarine for blue, and a Garnet for red.
The second gate asks you to plant, water, and harvest three specific crops in front of the statues. You need to plant a carrot seed, a wheat seed, and a tomato seed, then wait for them to fully mature before gathering the harvest.
For the third gate, use the cooking station inside the cave to combine your harvested carrot, wheat, and tomato into a Veggie Pasta meal. Eating this freshly prepared dish immediately lowers the final magic barrier leading to the bottom chamber.
Retrieving the Orb of Power and Freeing Ursula
In the final subterranean room, you will find a small pool with a glowing golden fishing spot. Cast your fishing rod directly into the golden circle to pull up the Orb of Power from the deep water.
Take the Orb of Power back outside to Dazzle Beach and insert it into the Pillar of Power near the cave entrance. Restoring the pillar cleanses the dark magic, completing the quest objectives and officially granting Ursula her freedom.
